Event Highlights
Fun Walk and Tree Planting Activity Date: Thursday 14th November
Time: Fun Walk starting at 8:30 AM, Tree Planting at approximately 10:30 AM Location: Begins at the IECD, continuing through La Gogue and Maldives, concluding at Anse Etoile crèche and Small Step Day Care in Anse Etoile.
Join us for a community fun walk, culminating in a “Tree Planting Activity” aimed at fostering environmental awareness and children’s connection to nature.
Children Photography Competition Prize-Giving Ceremony
Date: Wednesday 20th November
Time: 9:30 AM
Location: National Library
This ceremony will honor the winners of our Children Photography Competition, which engaged Early Childhood students from Crèche to Primary 2. The competition, in collaboration with the Seychelles National Institute of Culture, Heritage and the Arts (SNICHA), the National Arts and Crafts Council (NACC), Seychelles Islands Foundation (SIF), Seychelles Parks and Gardens Authority (SPGA), and the Seychelles Heritage Foundation (SHF), aims to promote creativity and expression among young learners.
The Secretary General of SNICHA will also address attendees. Additionally, we will launch a one-week exhibition featuring the winning photographs.
Reflective Session on Child’s Holistic Development Date: Friday 22nd November 22
Time: 10:30 AM
Location: Seychelles Trading Company (STC) Conference Room
The week concludes with a reflective session focused on children’s holistic development, highlighting projects from the Strategic Plan for Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE). This session is part of the National Action Plan 2023-24 Evaluation Workshop.
