NATIONAL SECTORAL WORKSHOP: FIRST YEAR IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NATIONAL ACTION PLAN FOR ECCE 2023-2024 PROGRESS REVIEW

The Institute of Early Childhood Development (IECD) presents the 6th Edition of the National Action Plan for Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) 2023-2024, in collaboration with six key sectors. Education, Social Affairs, Local Government and Community Affairs, Youth, Sports, and Family, and Health have come together to formulate and launch this comprehensive plan.
Validated projects from each sector are featured in the plan, marking a significant milestone in the field of ECCE. With project implementation commenced in January 2023, the IECD is committed to monitoring and supporting the sectors involved in successfully implementing these projects as outlined in the plan.
As part of our monitoring strategy, we are organizing a National Sectoral Workshop to review the progress made in the first year of plan implementation. This workshop presents a unique opportunity for each sector to present their key achievements, shed light on issues and challenges encountered, and engage in meaningful discussions and idea sharing within the ECCE community.
The Principal Secretaries of all key ECCE sectors, along with the IECD Board’s Chairperson, Captain David Savy, and CEO, Mrs. Shirley Choppy, will grace the occasion with their presence. All members of the technical team in the 6 ECCE sectors will also be present.
We believe that the media plays a crucial role in amplifying the voices and efforts of our esteemed sectors.
