SEYCHELLES PUBLIC TRANSPORT CORPORATION (SPTC) PARENTS BENEFIT FROM SENSITISATION PROGRAMME ON EARLY STIMULATION AND LEARNING

The second group of parents from a large organisation to participate in the Sensitisation Programme for creating a stimulating Early Learning Environment was held at the SPTC office in New Port. The session brought together 19 parents who engaged in a interactive and engaging experience.

The programme, led by the Centre-Based Service Section, is part of the National Action Plan 2023-2024’s IECD project. The goal is to encourage parents to take an active role in early stimulation and learning activities with their children between the ages of 2-3.

Through this initiative, parents gained knowledge and understanding of creative learning resources, language development, and numeracy skills using real-life objects and situations. The activities were designed to focus on child development and learning through play.

This programme aims to empower parents to create a nurturing environment that fosters their child’s growth and development, laying the foundation for a strong educational foundation.
